If you are in the middle of the lap band procedure, then you know that ultimately although the device itself will help you lose weight by retraining and reshaping your stomach and in effect teaching it how to handle reduced food intake and a new schedule, ultimately the way to lose weight will lie with your own discipline and how you think about food. This is true of most diets. However, it is doubly true of lap band.
