Exercise For Abs - Crunches

Crunches are the most basic of abdominal exercises. If not done correctly, you could end up straining some muscles and injuring yourself in the process.

1. Start by lying flat on your back, and bring your feet as close to you body as possible.

2. Cross your hands over your chest, not behind your head.

3. Pull your upper body towards your knees and hold for around 5 seconds, then go back down in a smooth gentle motion.

4. Repeat for your desired number or reps.

Exercise For Abs - The Bicycle

This weight loss workout is great for strengthening your lower abs.

1. Lie on the floor and interlock your finger behind your head.

2. Bring your knees in towards your chest, and lift your shoulder blades off the ground, without putting strain on your neck.

3. Straighten the left leg out while simultaneously turning the upper body to the right, taking the left elbow towards the right knee.

4. Switch sides, bringing the right elbow towards the left knee.

5. Continue alternating sides in a 'pedaling' motion for 1-3 sets of 12-16 reps.
